Frequently Asked Questions

If you do not find an answer to your question below, please fill out a contact form.

Q: What kinds of criteria are used when considering applicants? Do I need to have community experience and/or established awareness practices before applying for SOAR?

SOAR's application process is not based on any specific resume. With each application, we will look closely at the desire to learn and be a part of the community experience offered by SOAR. Because SOAR is a full immersion into self-inquiry and personal growth, it is important that each applicant comes to a clear decision for them self before embarking on this journey.

Q: When do applications open?

Depending on the year, applications open in March or April. If you would like to be reminded, please fill out a contact form and specify that you would like to be notified when the process begins.

Q: Do I need to be able to speak english in order to attend SOAR?

Yes. All applicants must be able to read, write and speak english at an intermediate level.

Q: How much does SOAR cost?

The cost of SOAR should not exceed 900 euros per month. We are currently looking for financial support that would allow us to offer lower fees.
In regard to the economical situation in Greece, special prices will be granted to greek participants, according to their possibilities.

Q: Are there scholarships or other means of financial aid available?

We are currently in the process of seeking funding so that the SOAR can offer scholarships and financial assistance. For tips on fundraising, please visit our Costs & Finance page.

Q: Does SOAR give any diploma or certificate?

SOAR is not affiliated with any classical educational system or considered a gap year. Participants will receive a certificate to mark the completion of the program.
