Relations and Sexuality
with Anna-Maria Mergaert Sexual Energy is our Basic Natural Life Force Requiring to be met fully and respectfully In order to free our full potential, To experience sacredness in our relationships And learn to dance with the forces of creation. We usually have a lot of questions about Sexuality and Intimacy, and often we don’t find it easy to talk about them. This workshop offers a safe, open, non-judgemental space to share about, question, explore and develop our way of experiencing love, intimacy and sexuality in our relationships.
And as our most important relationship is the one we have with our own self, our work will focus very much on coming home in our own body, truly loving ourself from within, just the way we are. What people often don’t know is that Sexuality is an Art to be learned. It is not something going by itself. It asks for consciousness and awareness. We will work at balancing our Yin and Yang energies (our « being » and our « doing ») and at helping our sexual energy move upward in our body, through different practices involving breath, dance, movement, sound and touch. Those practices can be very effective in freeing our body from obstacles such as suppressed emotions, conditionings and stress, and in bringing deep states of relaxation. The more relaxed we are, the more available we are to experience fruitful relationship. However, there is no need of a partner to experiment with those practices. Actually this work is a beautiful tool of self care. Often, we expect other people to love us because we have trouble loving ourselves. Sometimes we are not even present in our own body, unaware of our own limits. Thus we depend on the recognition of others. In this workshop we will learn to journey from dependant relationships to relationships where sharing love, creativity, independence, freedom are central to mutual respect. We will see how connecting with our vulnerability, openness, honesty and authenticity opens the door for intimacy, for true, unbiased communication. Participants will be free to work by two or by themselves. |
