Developing our Sensory Perception
w/ Agnès Noël My practice today is the synthesis of my various long term trainings in the paramedical field and in perceptive education (I am a Physiotherapist, a Fasciatherapist, a Somato-psychopedagogue and a professor of Sensory Gymnastics - France - Portugal) as well as in the field of group interactions (Psychosociology and Masters in Psychosocial practices - Canada). In order to become truly aware of our needs, to develop a healthy relation to other people and to the world, we need to begin from our relation to ourself. In this approach, our body is the teacher. Refining and enriching our bodily perception builds our self confidence and our presence to ourself, thus giving us the necessary foundations for fruitful learning, discovering and relating. This method teaches us to listen finely to ourself, to identify our emotions and through caring for the physical field of our being to take better care of our inner being and of our thoughts. In our western paradigm of over mentalisation, we are conditioned to mostly function through our mind. Developing our sensory perception radically alters the way we experience not only ourself, but every situation in life and the whole world. We start experiencing the very fact of being alive in a totally new, unexpected and at the same time deeply intimate way. This workshop literally proposes an initiation, opening new doors of perception. Through an exploration of slow movement, rhythms, breathing, balance, the power of attention and intention, we will discover the grounding, healing properties of the sensory flow. We will work with movement, with stillness and with touch, individually and as a group. |
