The Pilgrimage

Picture

At the peak of their SOAR experience, participants will embark on The Pilgrimage: a 21 days long trek towards the national park of Mount Parnassos  will allow them to connect with their roots in nature and in human history, come closer to the elements and to their own limits, unfold unknown resources of joy and energy through sustained physical effort and get a taste of the unforgettable solidarity of a long term group adventure.
Our journey will take us to the sacred site of Delphi, meeting Greece in many of her traditional aspects along the way.
The Pilgrimage will be lived entirely outdoors, sleeping in tents or under the stars and eating around a fire, with the efforts, the jubilation, and the irreplaceable teachings of one our deepest relations: Nature.

The Pilgrimage will provide an experience of stepping away from society and into a new rhythm: sustained time in the wilderness will create a new platform for participants to discover their strengths and come together as a community.

As we walk and meet places with recent history of violence, we will take a few days exploring the topic of non-violent activism through
a mix of self-reflection & social
action, setting boundaries & inviting dialogue, as well as exploring  different forms of power.

The Pilgrimage will culminate with a 24-hour solo, a personal non-structured time in nature to contemplate and clarify the participant's intention, supported before and after by both guide and group facilitation. The solo provides an opportunity for inner resources to be revealed, that may not have been in evidence or had prior importance, which will be a support for participants to incorporate their whole SOAR experience, in getting ready to return to their own lives and empowering them to bring their new learnings into the world.
