Our Team Members in their words.
Spiros. I participated as a team member at the first year of Soar in 2014-2015 by coincidence, since then the initial curiosity which brought me here has given it's place to a deep wish to keep on sharing life with the Soar community. Living between Scotland and Greece, Soar has become a home for me where I keep coming back to, a physical place where I walk my inner path co-creating, sharing, opening space for life to happen.
I will be guiding the morning yoga and free dance sessions throughout the program. Learning through different disciplines and explorations of the body/mind has been my path and passion for over twenty years. My journey started in 1996 and it took me through four years of intensive training in Wing Chun Kung Fu, Vippasana meditation, a yoga teacher training in 2012, and in the last four years Dance of Awareness. My practice is also informed and inspired by Taoist practices, Qi-Gong, Body Mind Centering, Authentic Movement and Continuum Movement. I feel great pleasure as well as gratitude for the opportunity to be offering yoga and free dance sessions during the program, my wish is to inspire participants through movement and to allow for our body/mind explorations to accompany and complement our Soar journey.

Anna. I was a participant in the first year of SOAR 2015/2016 and since then I have carried the practices, friendships and the spirit of SOAR with me everywhere.
When I am not in Greece or other places, I have a lovely home on my wooden ship in Denmark with my partner. This is my base where I gather friends and strangers in my couch or in a circle, dream about community, connection and how to change the world, and from where I go on trips in nature – on land and on sea.
I recently studied to become an outdoor guide, wanting to use my passion for nature to help others go deeper in their connection to nature. When I need to feel alive, I jump in the sea, dance or sing. I am grateful for the opportunity to again be at SOAR and hold the space for another journey of learning and unfolding life.

Yorgos. I was born in Athens, Greece but have spent most of my adult life in the UK, where I studied and worked as a mechanical engineer. Even though I was generally content and grateful with my way of living, I often felt that this was not my true path in life so in the spring of 2017 I abandoned everything and rode my bicycle in search of adventure and direction.
I travelled around Europe for 7 months. During that time I deepened my connection with nature, strengthened my confidence in myself and reassessed what is important for me in my life. One of the things that became apparent to me was how important it was for me to be surrounded by a community. The end of my trip found me in Plum Village, a Buddhist community in the southwest of France where I spent a little more than a year growing organic vegetables and practicing mindfulness. There I met Christina and found out about Soar.
My intentions to return and live in Greece, and to continue to practice mindfulness, both came true when Christina invited me to participate in the Soar team. I share deeply the core values of Soar and I see this is a great opportunity for me to deepen my own practice and self-understanding while facilitating others.

Anestis. I grew up in the north of Greece, in the small village of Doxato, being interested in music since I was a child I attended the musical school Dromos (The Way). Now a nomad in life and music I wander in the traditional music paths of Greece searching for what connects us humans.
My path brought me to participate at Soar 2 (2016-2017) which has been a landmark in my life.
For this winter's Soar program I will be cooking delicious Greek dishes.
