The Founding Team
Christina and Olivier, the founders, are supported by an international group of friends experienced in the areas of community building, awareness practices, nature and communication.
Together we are working towards creating the SOAR team.
Christina Chorafas spent the first half of her life in Greece and France. She is the founder and director of the Oikia Karapanou, a pathbreaking center for personal and interpersonal development, and community building.
Christina holds an MA in Anthropology from the University of Paris VII. She is also a trained practitioner of Fasciatherapy and Somato-Psychopedagogy, and currently undergoing training in the 'Way of Council'. She is a long-time practitioner of tai-chi, yoga and daily meditation. She has also worked as a journalist and authored several children's books. She has participated in a 6 months trekking journey with donkeys, during which she walked alone in wilderness for three weeks with her own donkey. These experiences are the inspiration for 'The Pilgrimage'. |
Olivier Clementz, originally from France, has lived in Greece for 12 years. After his studies in human sciences, philosophy and film, he developed a passion for electronic music and became a successful group manager, and organizer for concerts and events.
He also founded the university circle "Opera Mundi" in Lyon, that gave the student's avant-garde access to the most innovative form of contemporary music. His club became the headquarters of Erasmus students, thus giving him a taste of a promising and friendly Europe. Olivier also has extensive training in landscape architecture, is a master hiker, and has been co-directing the Oikia with Christina for the last ten years. |
